> Bring back life form. Priority one. All other priorities rescinded...
Week (1) Preparing for assembly and buying extra fittings and cables - because nothing goes as planned. Started work on the remote RGB cables - Vector supervised.
Week (2) Radiator flush and assembly, first test fit into case. The 60mm XE 480 + Noctua NF-A12x25 + Halo Lux fits perfectly with no gap. Figuring out filter and pass-through locations. Started on 3D printing model for later machining. Spent 20 seconds considering a water cooled couch...
Week (3) Filter mounted and plumbed. Isolation mount for dual pump completed. Settled on tongue and groove method of attachment for easy removal and maintenance – plate is mounted to the case, the backside of the pump bracket fits tightly in the slot, just two front bolts needed for a solid attachment. Basic templating and design started for the badge, machine work, and upholstery.
Week (4) Built and tested lightbox (sheet-metal box edged with 1/8th rubber, painted, with mirrored backing and a magnetic addressable RBG strip for easy maintenance or replacement) for the backlit Weyland-Yutani logo. Received first ordered of fittings. Completed and test fit marine (waterproof) grade upholstery and pleating. Completed machine work and test fit of solid aluminum parts.
Week (5) All the laser cut parts are fit and finished, mounted on polycarbonate for back-lighting. Intake assembly gets final nylon mounting hardware. Top and bottom trim plates layout (which was changed to the cleaner plaque design) installed RGB. Photo before the X Ae-5 was replaced with the Nu Pro audio card, bottom panel removed. Lower connection 90 was replaced with a T-fitting, valve, and a pass-through fitting for an easy drain of the lower radiator.
Final on plumbing, pumps are completely isolated from chassis via ZMT. Inline AQ flow meter installation design was an attempt to mitigate (straight pipe before and after) some turbulence for a more accurate reading. Gap left for the Aquaero 6 mounting position - to allow for cool air to pass around it and heat-sink. Mounted light-box and first rough wiring and lighting tests.
Etched the crew names and the directive into the front glass. The position and layout are so when you approach and look in, MU-TH-UR 6000 is visible next to Ash (the androids) name. Etched “Bring back life form. Priority one. All other priorities rescinded...” into the lower part of the glass.
Equipment stand drawer number (1) is lined with a polyethylene container capable of holding three times the liquid volume of the loop. Image of one of the (left) drains that discharge into the tub. Drawer (2) houses waterproof containers full of spare parts and fittings.
